Commissions
Commissioned art pricing depends on the number of pets (if a pet portrait) included in the painting, the size and framing. Contact Keri for questions about commissions.
Step 1 - Contact Keri & Send Photos
Contact me with a description of the painting you're interested in, your phone number and email address. I love to know the name(s) of your pets, what you love about them or the piece you're interested in, and whether it's a gift or for yourself.
If you have a favorite photo(s) in mind for the commission please send them to [email protected]. If you will be taking photos of your pet, I can guide you on how to get the best shots. The photo doesn't have to be perfect, however, the better the photo, the better the portrait. The key is getting the best light. I can usually exclude unnecessary items from the painting if needed, such as a harness or collar if they aren't desired in the painting.
If you live within a reasonable traveling distance we can discuss having me take a photo of your pet(s) for the commission if you'd like. I can also help select the best photo for a pet portrait if you have several to choose from.
Send photos to me at [email protected]. I will then get in contact with you.
Please Note: I will not paint from images that have a copyright, such as photos taken by a professional photographer.

Step 2 - Timeline, Size, Frame & Price
During our initial conversation we will discuss the time frame. I will need to know if you're looking to have the piece by a certain date, if it's a gift for example. The timeline for completing a commission varies depending on my workload.
We will also determine the size of the pet portrait, and I can give suggestions based on the photos. We will talk about framing options, whether you'd like me to frame the piece or if you'd prefer to have it framed. We will also discuss shipping costs; shipping unframed pieces usually cost less than shipping framed due to the weight and added size with the frame.
Once we establish the time, size, framing and shipping, we will finalize the total cost of the commission.

Step 3 - Deposit & Progress Updates
Once we've established steps 1 and 2, I will request 50% of the total payment upfront, which is non-refundable to begin the work. I accept Credit, Debit, Cash, PayPal and Checks.
I will begin the painting once the initial payment is processed. During the painting process I will keep you updated on the progress and once the piece is finished I will share a photo of the work with you and discuss the final piece. I will do one round of minor revisions if edits need to be made (such as background color needs to be tweaked).

Step 4 - Final Payment & Shipment
After finalizing the artwork I will request the remaining 50% of the commission that's due. Once the final payment has been processed I will package and ship the work to the agreed upon address. I will provide shipping details and estimated arrival date.
I love to see photos of the work in their final home, so please feel free to email me or share with me on social media!
In the unlikely case of any issues when receiving the painting, please contact me as soon as possible at [email protected].
